    It’s uhm….how should I put it?

It’s as if somebody was taught how to make a filing cabinet on their first day at work, and this was the result.

Top drawer won’t open after closing because the fitment is terrible.
Panel gaps everywhere – drawers not flush with frame.

I took some photos, but honestly, why bother uploading?

Imagine the build quality on the level of China having a baby with Italy. Spend an extra 50 dollars and get the $100+ product.

  2. Amazon Customer

Cute color. Arrived quickly and not damaged.
Pretty flimsy drawers, I thankfully don’t use it often – more for storage so it is fine.
If you need this for a busy office or want to be in and out of it all day it may not hold up that well. The drawers
shimmy and torque because the metal isn’t very strong so you just have to be careful to pull straight in and out to avoid damaging/bending. That is what you get for a much lower price tag than the more reputable high end brands.

    Great product

  4. Joe Cal

Good looking and functional filing cabinet. Light weight but serves it’s purpose. Nice deep drawers.

Fit perfectly under my desk. Great for small spaces.

I’ve got a comparably-sized old file cabinet that has been in use in my family for at least 25, 30 years, and it has seen better days. Dents, some rust, and it’s just very unwieldy. This new file cabinet was very nice, and surprisingly so for the money it cost. It’s lighter than my old file cabinet, but does not feel flimsy as so many things today do. If your use case can be fit into a two-drawer cabinet, I think you’ll find this a good bang-for-your-buck purchase.

    Will buy again

Very happy with this purchase. But do remember you get what you pay for. A HON or similar quality 2-drawer file cabinet can sell for $200 or more brand new. Even a second-hand dinged-up model can go for $100. But for the money this is a decent buy.

    Plus:
    * Good price and free shipping.
    * Arrived in great shape and on the day after I ordered.
    * Drawers work fine.
    * Handles took 5 minutes to attach.
    * Biggest selling point for me: these files are shorter than your average cabinet which means they can fit under a standard office table. Not all 2-drawer files can do that.
    * Very lightweight. I could carry two of them up two flights of stairs by myself without huffing and puffing.
    * They have a working lock.

    Cons:
    * They are made of lightweight material, probably aluminum. They could be dented easily if dropped, banged or kicked.
    * Lock is basically a joke. I used to have a cat who could manage to open my file drawer if I left it even slightly ajar and get at the catnip I stored within. This would stop the cat if I locked catnip into the file. But nothing much else. Will stop your neighbor from snooping if you let him hang out in your office while taking a leak. Nothing much more than that.
    * Drawers are “only” 18-inches deep. That’s shorter than most but I have seen some as small as 12-14″. Still holds a fair amount of stuff and, again, if you only have a small space for it, or you want to place it under a standard office table and need space under it behind the file, the 18-inch depth can be a selling point.
    * The drawer doesn’t come out fully so if it’s packed you might have a small challenge accessing the files in the very back.
    * The file can be top heavy if you fill the top drawer first or with heavier materials. The box itself even warns you about tipping it over. Of course, this applies to any file cabinet but heavier ones have more inherent stability than this one.
    * I wish the handles came attached as it does take about 10 minutes fiddling with a Philips screwdriver to put them on. (I bought TWO of these units.) No big deal. I don’t see where others have claimed to had troubles doing it, or that the screws didn’t “seat” fully. I had no need for a washer or anything, just a bit of elbow grease and a flashlight.

  9. Riften

A bit flimsy so don’t be expecting a heavy duty type cabinet. Otherwise it was easy to put together. Holds everything I need held and doesn’t look too shabby either.
