    DIY furniture made from particle board or MDF tends to be hit-or-miss. I’m especially suspicious of furniture made in China, as the quality tends to be subpar. However, Vasagle is an exception. The pieces are packaged well, perfectly drilled, and the instructions are clear. I assembled both these bookcases (a ladder shelf is in the middle) by myself in under an hour. I didn’t use the thumbtacks they provide for the bottom, as I prefer felt pads. I admit I couldn’t figure out how to install the hardware to secure the bookcase to the wall, but I never use that hardware, anyway. I also like that they provide spare hardware. I would like if they made a slightly taller version…an extra shelf would be great.

    I’m posting the before and after photos! I’m honestly soooo happy about this purchase! I had fun organizing / decorating it 😄Aesthetically, it looks so much cleaner and interesting. Functionally, it saves SOOOOOOO much more space omg. Everytime I look over I get so giddy

    This is such a cool book shelf. I ordered two and put them next to each other and they make a great set of shelves in my living room. They are a pain in the butt to put together to be honest, but the end product is worth it.

    This is a great value! The contents in the box came very well packaged and labeled with all necessary hardware. Very easy to assemble and the quality is great especially given the price! I ended up buying a second one since I had the space for it. Love the greige color! Sturdy once assembled and fits a good amount of books. Tall. Highly recommended!

    Just what I needed to fill an awkward space in my bedroom and make it more of a functional space. It was easy enough to assemble and looks great. Sits stable and weighs enough to not be easily tipped over, well at least the way I am using it. I could see needing to use the wall anchors if I had it standing upright instead of on its side. But the design is pretty functional and versatile. I am very pleased with this shelf and more than happy I decided on it.

    I ordered these shelves because I thought they looked cool, and the price was good. It got delivered in a day (!).

    Putting it together wasn’t difficult, although a bit time-consuming. My only quibbles (and this is why I didn’t give it the full 5 stars) relate to the assembly process. The instructions (such as they were) were simply a series of line drawings that took a bit of time to fully suss out. More annoying was that the pieces were labled “A” and “B” and “C” with little stickers … but the stickers were terrible to get off. You had to keep scraping at them until they released; and then you had to clean up the leftover stick-em (which took a surprising amount of time and elbow grease).

    Still, ultimately, the job got done and I’m very satisfied with the results. Very unique and cool and, as the headline states, sturdy.

    I’m so happy with this bookshelf- it’s really reasonably priced, very cute, the color is lovely, easy to put together, and made with quality materials. All the pieces were in tact without chips, and they have a nice weight to them without being too heavy to manage alone. I also feel like it has a lot of space to utilize- with my old bookshelf each shelf was just too high, so a lot of space was wasted. This I think is just right. Really satisfied
